Terms & Licence

Plain version first, because nobody reads the long one: buy it once, use it with your own family forever, print as much as you like, and do not resell it or hand out the files. If it does not work for you, ask and we refund it.

The longer version follows, because a licence that only exists as a friendly summary is not much use to either of us.

Who you are buying from

These materials are sold by Oceanus Networks LLC, a California limited liability company, trading as Bracken & Bough. Contact: support@brackenandbough.com.

What you may do

Everything we sell is a digital file licensed for personal, single-household use. That licence covers:

  • Every child in your household, now and later. One purchase, however many students you teach, for as long as you teach them.
  • Printing as many copies as your own family needs, on paper or a tablet.
  • Editing the files. The documents are editable on purpose. A course description is only honest when it matches the books actually on your table, so we expect you to rewrite ours.
  • Using your edited versions in your own official records, including transcripts and portfolios you submit to a district, evaluator, or college. Those become your documents and we make no claim on them.

What you may not do

  • Share, send, upload, or post the original files, including to a co-op drive, a class group, a Facebook file section, or a shared folder.
  • Resell them, whether edited or not, and whether for money or as a bonus attached to something else.
  • Include them in a paid course, membership, or curriculum you sell.
  • Use them to make a competing product, including feeding them to a machine-learning system for that purpose.

A co-op or small group teaching from these together needs one licence per household. Ask us and we will sort out something reasonable rather than expensive, because the alternative is that a group of families quietly shares one file and nobody is happy about it.

Refunds

Digital files usually come with no refunds at all. Ours do not work that way. If something you bought is not right for you, write to support@brackenandbough.com within 14 days and we will refund it. You do not have to explain yourself and we do not ask you to delete anything first, which we could not verify anyway.

We would genuinely rather issue a refund than have someone feel taken. It is also the only honest way to sell a file that cannot be returned.

About the state requirement summaries

Our state pages are general information, not legal advice. We are not lawyers and we are not your lawyers.

Each entry carries its statute citation, a source link, and the date we last reviewed it, so you can check our reading against the code yourself. Homeschool law changes. Ohio eliminated its assessment requirement in 2023, Wyoming eliminated its curriculum filing in 2025, and a summary written before either change is now wrong. Ours will go stale the same way.

Verify current requirements with your own state before you rely on anything here, particularly before a filing deadline. If you find us out of date, tell us and we will fix it and reissue the pack to everyone who owns it.

Public-domain sources

The illustrations and any historical texts in these materials are in the public domain, and each asset's source is recorded in our provenance log. Our arrangement, typesetting, selection, and written content are ours, and those are what this licence covers.

Delivery

Files are delivered immediately after purchase by download link and by email. If the link does not arrive, check your spam folder once, then write to us and we will send the files directly.

Changes to these terms

If we change this page, the version you bought under continues to apply to what you already own. New terms apply to new purchases. Last updated 25 July 2026.
